This is an “old” app, dated 2010. In fact it’s not adapted for iPad. I used various iZotope plugins, and they did a very nice job usually. There is an iDrum for Mac and Pc and the overall impression is that iZotope don’t want to do a too good work for an iOS app, for push their computer plugin the most. It’s not a bad app (even if 2 years without updating and without iPad support it’s a sort of abandon) and i have to say the interface is one of better for this kind of app, at least if you’re using an iPhone.
Drum samples have a variable quality, some good others quite terrible (weird thing, the worst are the rock ones and this is the rock edition!). The very bad news anyway is the audio exportation, complex and with plenty of limitations, it seem a sort of joke for made complex a very simple thing. In other words, it seem this app would not be a real instrument for real musician but just for entertain with drums. And all those limits are purely wanted, not bugs of caused by a poor project. Too bad, i can’t recommend. Maybe iZotope change their mind and start considering iOS a professional system for musicians. Prices: $2.99 €2.39
